WWEX Racing Spotlights Supercharged UPS® Relationship at NASCAR’s Darlington Throwback Weekend

WWEX Racing and Worldwide Express will trade our signature electric blue and black for the iconic UPS® brown and yellow to honor our rich ties with the parcel carrier during the 2023 Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR at Darlington Raceway. Both the No. 1 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet and No. 42 Niece Motorsport Chevrolet will carry vintage UPS liveries once driven by one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers, Dale Jarrett.

Just as the support of UPS was vital to Jarrett's success on the track, Worldwide Express, through the WWEX Racing program, is a vital part of NASCAR, Trackhouse Racing and Niece Motorsports. Both Worldwide Express and UPS have a history of delivering wins on and off the track. UPS ended its NASCAR sponsorship in 2014 after nearly a decade in the sport, so their return to the track on the schemes for Worldwide Express — not only a longtime Authorized Reseller but also the Official Logistics Partner of NASCAR — is a unique full-circle moment.

As an award-winning third-party logistics provider, we have been connecting businesses to UPS small package services since 2008. Our longstanding priority relationship gives customers of all sizes access to unmatched service options at any budget. Today, Worldwide Express customers account for more than 30.5M annual UPS shipments.

"Our ability to bring value-driven solutions to business shippers would not be possible without UPS," said Mike Grayson, executive vice president of the WWEX group of brands, including Worldwide Express. "It only felt right to dedicate these race schemes to both the country's most-loved delivery brand and one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers. We're honored to represent UPS and their unmatched performance record and are grateful to Trackhouse Racing and Niece Motorsports, who share that same commitment to excellence, for letting us bring back the instantly recognizable yellow and brown."

Both WWEX Racing throwback UPS paint schemes on track at Darlington Raceway are from Dale Jarrett's 2001 season at Robert Yates Racing. That year, Jarrett took the checkered flag at Darlington, Texas Motor Speedway, Martinsville Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He finished fifth in the standings that year. The 2014 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee won 32 races over a 24-year career that included the 1999 championship.

This season, Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar hope wins in the honorary schemes will put them one step closer to the Championship. "It was one of my favorite paint schemes growing up and it will be a heck of an honor driving it at Darlington for Throwback Weekend," said Chastain.

"It's truly an honor to be able to drive a scheme that recognizes one of the greats of our sport — Dale Jarrett," said Hocevar. "I'm so appreciative to everyone at Worldwide Express for making this UPS scheme happen. The UPS truck is iconic, so to be able to get it on the track in the Truck Series is really cool. What can I say? We love this truck!"

FS1 will broadcast the Buckle Up South Carolina 200 on Friday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m. ET, and the Goodyear 400 on Sunday, May 14, at 3 p.m. ET.
