WWEX Group Leaders Receive Prestigious Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know Award
Dallas, Texas, March 12, 2024 — Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, named WWEX Group's Dustin Wesley and Heather Johnson among their 2024 Pros to Know. This distinguished annual award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage supply chain for a competitive advantage.
"WWEX Group is in the business of making things happen for the shippers, carriers and channel partners that trust us with their businesses," Joel Clum, WWEX Group COO, said. "Dustin and Heather set the standard for what we aspire to deliver each and every day, and we're so incredibly proud of them for being recognized for what they do."
Wesley, who serves as Senior Vice President of Partner Channel, was awarded the Pros to Know — Lifetime Achievement Award which honors company leaders who've made outstanding contributions to the supply chain space. In his role at WWEX Group, Wesley is responsible for leading, supporting and growing the Unishippers franchise channel and the GlobalTranz agent channel.
Over the past year, he has been instrumental in steering the company's franchise and agent channels into a period of remarkable growth and has led the charge in expanding networks and increasing revenue. For Unishippers, he's helped welcome over 80 new franchisees and acquired 50 established franchises. Meanwhile, GlobalTranz has added 50 agent partners. This influx of new franchises and agents has been a growth accelerator, allowing the company to boost revenue and brand awareness.
"I am very grateful to be acknowledged with the Lifetime Achievement Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive. It's really an affirmation of the great work that we do here at WWEX Group and that I am proud to be a part of," Wesley, who has spent his entire 18-year career at the company, said. "Our Partner Channel is an outstanding program that allows sales professionals and business owners to take control of their career and build a business on their own terms. It has been a true team effort, and today I couldn't be prouder of the opportunity we provide to logistics professionals"
Johnson, who serves as Director of Support for Partner Channel, was recognized as one of the Pros to Know — Rising Stars, which honors young or newer professionals (39 years old and under) whose achievements, hard work and vision have shaped the supply chain network. At WWEX Group, Johnson is accountable for enabling channel partners to grow their businesses by understanding their challenges and pairing them with useful tools to take their business to the next level.
As a former small business owner, Johnson has an incredibly unique perspective on how best to navigate early-stage growth of an organization, which she leans on daily to benefit the company's 700+ channel partners along with the employees that she leads.
"At WWEX Group, our goal is to be the easiest company to partner with in the logistics space — whether you are a customer, franchise, agent partner, carrier partner or internal team member. And on a daily basis, I am honored to provide leadership and support to this community of professionals. The award is just a testament to the great work we are doing here and I'm looking forward to what the future holds," said Johnson, an Army veteran whose professional passion is growing people and companies. "Our Partner Channel is world-class. And whether you are a professional looking for business opportunities or a shipper looking for solutions, there is no better place to be than working with our agent and franchise system."
