Tom Madine
CEO
Tom guides the overall strategy, vision, and culture of WWEX Group with a unique vantage point. As a former franchisee, he built a top organization that was used as the backbone infrastructure when Worldwide Express began its evolution to a direct-operating company in 2015. Over the last 20 years, his leadership and guidance have been instrumental in building career paths for the Worldwide Express team and strengthening the industry-leading relationships that the WWEX Group maintains with its carrier partners. Tom has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Virginia.
Mike Grayson
CRO & Executive Vice President
Focusing on the continued development and strengthening of WWEX Group’s freight offerings, Mike oversees the company’s relationships with its world-class LTL carrier partners, managing their strategic needs, the introduction of new partners and yield management. Prior to joining corporate, Mike built several successful Worldwide Express franchises. He is a trusted resource in the transportation industry, frequently presenting on trends and insights at industry conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University and a Master of Arts from Georgia State University.
Joel Clum
COO
As COO, Joel focuses on strategic infrastructure and continual improvement as the company expands through organic growth and acquisition. He led Worldwide Express’ reorganization from franchise-based to a direct operating company which allowed the company to offer its customers a greater standard of service across all lines of business. Joel was previously an executive with CarrierDirect and a consultant with Accenture Strategy. He has a Bachelor of Arts in finance from Michigan State University where he graduated with honors and is a member of the MSU Broad School Advisory Board.
Jack Pearlstein
CFO
As CFO, Jack leads the company's accounting and finance teams and is responsible for the company's overall financial management, as well as its internal and external reporting functions. He has more than 30 years of financial, operational, strategic planning and M&A experience with both private equity-backed and public companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from New York University and an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University.
Daniel Curling
CTO
As CTO, Daniel brings more than 25 years of experience as a technology professional, with extensive leadership in online travel, mobile device protection and SaaS solutions for healthcare. He leads all aspects of the company's technology, with a focus on the technology roadmap, operations, and product development for WWEX Group's suite of market-leading technology solutions for customers and internal team members. He holds a bachelor's in Business Analysis from Texas A&M University and studied at the Darden Leadership for Extraordinary Performance Program at the University of Virginia.
Scott Ball
CIO
As CIO, Scott has responsibility for WWEX Group’s technology infrastructure, operations, security and corporate applications. Prior to joining the WWEX Group, Scott was the CIO of Solera and has held various technology leadership roles at Sabre and Asurion. Scott started his career as an Armor Officer in the US Army. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy and Masters of Science degrees in Management and Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Charlene York
CLO and General Counsel
As CLO and General Counsel, Charlene leads the legal team and oversees all legal matters for the company, including compliance, franchising, corporate governance, acquisitions, employment practices, contract management, intellectual property, insurance, 3PL brokerage and freight. Prior to joining the team in 2017, she was a partner with an AmLaw 100 law firm and acted as the company’s outside counsel for more than 10 years. Charlene has been a frequent speaker and written on numerous topics for the International Franchise Association and American Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Trinity University and a Juris Doctor from Baylor University.
Brian Feichter
EVP of Sales
As SVP of Sales, Brian heads hundreds of professionals composing the industry-leading Worldwide Express corporate sales organization. Brian has dedicated the entirety of his career to the company, beginning in a sales role at a franchise where he won multiple national awards before leading it to 500% growth. Bringing unparalleled leadership to the executive team, Brian’s focus on strong customer relationships and innovation pushes WWEX to new heights. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Messiah University.
Matt Cook
SVP of Technology
As SVP of Technology, Matt is responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting our GlobalTranz software systems. He is also responsible for the integration platform across WWEX Group. Matt has over 25 years of experience building high-volume software systems across various industries. Prior to joining WWEX Group, Matt was SVP of Software Engineering at Evolent Health. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University.
Ben Hosler
SVP of Finance
As the SVP of Finance, Ben focuses on evaluating strategic growth initiatives, streamlining operational processes, and executing mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining WWEX Group, Ben was an associate at Ridgemont Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Washington and Lee University and a Master of Business Administration, with honors, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Farooq Huda
SVP of Technology
As SVP of Technology, Farooq is responsible for WWEX Group’s proprietary SpeedShip platform, leading the development and architecture teams building this technology from its inception. Previously, Farooq spent 10+ years in various tech leadership roles delivering digital transformation efforts to increase revenue, drive operational efficiencies and enhance customer experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Joe Kniple
SVP of Revenue Management
Joe leads the company’s revenue management team where he is driving transformative change in the company’s capabilities to help grow revenue, improve business performance and create a new and improved customer experience. Joe has more than 20 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, and customer solutions within the transportation industry. He led teams at UPS (parcel) and UPS Forwarding and has expertise in the LTL industry as he led pricing at UPS Freight LTL. He holds an MBA from Georgia State University and is a member of the Professional Pricing Society advisory board.
JJ Lewis
SVP of Truckload
As SVP of Truckload, JJ leads the company’s integrated truckload service offering and drives efficiency and best practices within the division’s growth, customer success and procurement functional operating groups. He has spent his entire career in the logistics and supply chain industry and has held leadership roles in sales and front office operations, with deep experience in procurement, operations and account management. His first 13 years in the industry were with Circle 8 Logistics, where he helped grow the company into a $150+ million business prior to its acquisition by GlobalTranz. JJ holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa.
Prabha Mathew
SVP of Accounting
As the SVP of Accounting, Prabha leads the accounting and accounts payable function for the organization. Prabha joined the company in 2021 and previously held various financial leadership roles at GameStop, an electronics retailer, and began her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Prabha is a CPA and received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University.
Shelly Patman
SVP of Human Resources
As the SVP of HR, Shelly's work as a business leader is centered around people and talent. Since joining the team, Shelly has been instrumental in building partnerships within the business and finding solutions to everyday high growth challenges. Leveraging her talents and fostering team harmony, she works to preserve and capture the essence of the organization's unique culture, building an employee experience strategy that aligns with that culture and executing programs that bring vision to life. Prior to joining the team, Shelly led functional areas of HR for RealPage, including talent acquisition, employee benefits and M&A integration. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Texas State University.
Steve Purdon
SVP of Customer Experience
As the SVP of Customer Experience, Steve leads our teams of Account Managers, Operations Specialists and Business Service Consultants to provide exceptional service to our customers and improve our retention efforts. He has over 15 years of experience with the WWEX Group where he started as an entry level sales executive, became a Worldwide Express franchise owner and most recently served as Vice President of Sales. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University.
Tim Schott
SVP of Finance
As SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis, Tim ensures the organization is well-positioned to achieve its long-term financial goals while exceeding its quarterly commitments. Since 2017, Tim has been responsible for the corporate finance function, including analysis of financial results, the annual operating budget, reporting, capital planning and operational finance in support of the company's business units. His 18 years of experience includes working for both public and private-equity companies across multiple sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and earned a Master of Business Administration from California State University Long Beach.
Dustin Wesley
SVP of Partner Channel
As the SVP of Partner Channel, Dustin is responsible for leading, supporting and growing the Unishippers franchise channel and the GlobalTranz agent channel. He is a WWEX blue blood, having spent his entire professional career with the organization starting as a 22-year-old, entry-level Worldwide Express salesperson before taking on roles with increasing responsibilities covering sales, training, and business, commercial, franchise development and agent recruiting. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Will Whitcomb
SVP of Sales
As SVP of Sales, Will is responsible for culture, strategy and performance of the sales force. Will has been leading successful teams at Worldwide Express for 18 years, and while he has driven significant sales growth every year, his trademark focus on development of personnel has made a lasting impact on the organization as members of his Legacy Tree go on to impact others. Will holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Physical Education and History from St. Bonaventure University and a Master of Education in Applied Human Development from Boston University.
